Expectations exceeded in Pacific Northwest

He was so thrilled by love and attention that he came every day to Backyard Bible Club, helped us set and clean up, and even traveled every night with us to Vacation Bible School in a neighboring town.

The week continued and we shared truth and love with him by just living life. Katherine and I prayed earnestly that he would accept Christ. And God never fails.

On Wednesday, Shane told us he was tired of living sinfully and had prayed to accept Christ that morning. I can’t express the joy we felt!

Through the summer, we’ve seen others come to Christ and grow in knowledge and love of Christ. But what I find completely astonishing is that the biggest change I’ve seen has been in me.

I came reluctantly on this trip, fighting God the whole way. I’m leaving as a slave to Christ, knowing he must become greater and I must become less.

I thought I knew what was best for my life, and now I understand that this life is not my own. I came here with mild expectations and was blown away by the power, the provision and the protection of our mighty God.
