It’s a joy to be able to take a group of girls from Texas Baptist Children’s Home to camp at Glorieta, N.M.
Our main activities are rock climbing, serving in a food kitchen and white-water river rafting. I’m most excited about the evening worship experiences. It’s special to be in a setting where spiritual conversations are not being forced but are encouraged and expected. And what a beautiful place Glorieta offers to have those conversations, surrounded by the beauty of God's creation.
But God didn’t wait until we arrived in Glorieta to begin moving in people’s hearts. Last Thursday night in in Round Rock, a church group came to sing, lead in worship and teach. It was so powerful that five of my girls accepted Christ. They all stood up and confessed it was what they truly wanted to do. After they walked to the front of the assembly, I had the honor of praying over them. It was a beautiful evening full of tears and hugs—and celebratory ice cream. It affirmed my belief that God is moving powerfully on this campus. And I am certain he is not finished yet.
