David King was born in Buchanan, Mich., in 1925 and grew up in Livingston, N.J. He graduated in 1953 from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. During and after college, he served as a pastor in Angus and Star (1946-1956). He was appointed as a missionary to Lebanon in June 1958 and served there from 1959 to 1989, when he retired.
