Thirty-nine East Texas Baptist University students joined the Beach Reach effort to evangelize college students for Christ during spring break. In total, 1,060 volunteers engaged in servant evangelism while providing 27,396 van rides and serving 21,000 pancakes during the three weeks of ministry.

Jim Angle, former chief national correspondent for jim angle hpu130Jim AngleFox News Channel, will be the guest speaker for Howard Payne University’s Guy D. Newman Honors Academy as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of its first graduating class. The free event will be held April 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the university’s Mims Auditorium. Congreso, a gathering of Hispanic youth for worship and training in evangelism and discipleship, will be April 24-25 at Baylor University in Waco with the theme “Invincible.” Jesse Rincones, pastor of Alliance Church in Lubbock, and Jason Paredes, co-pastor of Fielder Church in Arlington, will speak. Music will be provided by Creation’s Anthem, Digital Age and Trip Lee.
