Baptists Preaching is a column from the Baptist Standard. It is not an effort to advance any one theology or style but to present what a collection of Baptists considers a word from God. Likewise, Baptists Preaching offers a repository of Baptist preaching for future study and research. To recommend a sermon to be featured in Baptists Preaching, please contact [email protected].

Randy Bradley: Shaped by Where We Come From (Genesis 11:27-32)

Randy Bradley

Randy Bradley, pastor of First Baptist Church in Mullin, Texas, called his hearers to appreciate how their families of origin shape them while at the same time not being limited by those origins. Our genealogies are part of God’s work in our lives. They tell a story of sin. They can reveal where challenges originate and how they continue to affect us. But they do not determine what God does with us nor how we serve God. The audio for this sermon is available here.

This sermon was delivered during the morning service at First Baptist Church in Mullin on November 18, 2018, as part of a series on the book of Genesis.
